Jesus predicts His death and resurrection. He rebukes Peter for not understanding His mission, and teaches on the cost of discipleship. Six days later Peter, James, and John witness the transfiguration of Christ confirming His divine sonship through the Father's voice from heaven saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him."
