Jesus fulfills prophesy as He rides a in on a lowly donkey. He cleanses the temple by driving out merchants and money changers, and heals the blind and lame there, all while receiving praise from children and criticism from indignant chief priests and scribes. Jesus leaves the scene of Jerusalem where the self righteous and religious people of the city pushed Him away and went to stay in Bethany or "house of the poor," where the poor and needy welcome Him.
